Budapest

We booked a short weekend trip with our friend, Jake, who works with Nate, to Budapest. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment trip and let me tell you, Budapest was a so worth it! Budapest is divided by the Danube River into two sides, Buda and Pest.

This was the view from the top of our hotel. We picked a beautiful day to visit.

We didn’t have anything planned when we got there which was actually kind of fun! We ended up taking a free walking tour around the city. We couldn’t beat the price!

Budapest is known for a few different foods. One being goulash, which we were told to not even bother with because it is overrated. So, we listened and tried the Langos instead. It is garlic bread with a sour cream type sauce spread over it, topped with cheese. It was DELICIOUS!

When I searched “Must see/do in Budapest” Turkish Bath was the number one thing to do. There are multiple Turkish Baths in Budapest but we picked one called Rudas to spend Sunday at. It was super clean, super relaxing, and SUPER cheap. Well worth the $20 for all day access.
