Third and final stop for the Labor Day weekend, Oslo, Norway. Ahhhh, Oslo, it was so beautiful. If it wasn’t for the sky high value of things and everything being taxed 40-70% (depending on your income), I told Nate I would move here in heart beat! The scenery, the food, and the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Did you know that Norwegian’s are the happiest people in the world? As our tour guide told us, it’s because they don’t have much to worry about. Although things are expensive here, health care and education are completely free. Can you even imagine this?
We took a guided day tour in Oslo, to get the most out of our short visit here. I will let the pictures do most of the talking, because they are breath taking.
Our first stop of the day was the Holmenkollen Ski Jump. Where we got an amazing view overlooking Oslo!
Next, was Vigeland Park, the world’s largest sculpture park completed by a single artist. Also, Norway’s most popular tourist attraction! Let’s just say, these pictures may not do the park justice. It was gorgeous!
Next stop, was the Viking Ship Museum. As you can see by the picture, my Minnesota Viking fan of a husband thought this was the best stop all day!
And finally the reason I really booked this tour…a boat ride through the Fjords! Warning: these pictures may make you want to book a ticket to Norway right now!
