You guys! We (my family) surprised my mom with a trip to Germany for Mother’s Day. Much needed after a long and stressful year, and not to mention well deserved for a wonderful person like her. Mom of the year!
Anyway, with mom being an avid Polish pottery fan for as long as I can remember, a girls trip to Poland was in store. A visit to the home of Polish Pottery. Boleslawiec, Poland.
I picked my mom up from the airport after her 10 hour flight and we drove straight to Poland, another 7 hours in the car. She was a champ- stayed awake the entire time and beat jet lag like a pro!
Lena got to go too. I swear this dog has probably traveled more places than most humans. Lucky girl!
The next day we slept in, had a relaxing breakfast, then hit the town to shop, shop, shop!
We shopped until…one of us dropped.
There was SO much to look at in every store! We did make it to each and every factory which was so worthwhile, because every factory is unique with their designs and their displays!
Like many of you know from my previous posts, I will pay extra for a good, quality, clean and well recommended hotel room. With many Americans liking Polish pottery and traveling to Poland to get the real deal, many have come before us and recommended the place we stayed. We were fortunate to secure a room at The Blue Beetroot, which happened to be the cutest place I have ever stayed! My mom was thrilled with it too. Oh, and Lena!
An 18th century barn turned into a boutique hotel. The thick wooden beams and vaulted ceilings throughout the hotel made for a unique experience.
Another successful trip under our belts! Time for my mom to come back so we can do another girls trip!
